Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them.” At Incarnation, we believe that discipleship begins as children.
 

Children’s Church

Fall 2025

Our children’s ministry is separated into three age groups: Nursery for 0-3 year olds, Little Lambs for 3-5 year olds, and Children’s Church for 1st-5th grade. We encourage youth 6th grade and up to attend the regular service as our youth meet on weeknights.

Children with Special Needs 

Incarnation has a heart for every child to feel accepted and that they belong, because they belong to Jesus. We welcome all children with all kinds of needs, and work to accommodate and include children from many backgrounds. We are experienced in welcoming children with various kinds of special needs, including physical disabilities, behavioral challenges, and children on the autism spectrum. In addition to our two class leaders in every room, we hire special needs aides in the classrooms where someone needs a little extra help and attention.

Children’s Church (1st—5th Grade)

This fall, we will look at many stories from the Old Testament that show how God was working all along to bring us a Savior! From God creating everything to Adam and Eve’s being tricked by the serpent, to Cain and Abel, Noah’s building of the ark, God’s promises to Abraham and more, we see one constant theme: no matter how far away the people go from God, He is so immeasurably good to draw them back! That will be our focus as we work our way through the Old Testament.

Little Lambs (3-5 year-olds)

This fall, our Little Lambs will look at many encounters people had with Jesus. What they will see is that Jesus was so welcoming and loving to all who came to Him! Through the story of the lost sheep, they will discover that Jesus looks for those who are lost. Through the story of Zaccheus, they will see that Jesus invites all to His table. Through the man born blind, the children will learn that Jesus heals. In short, the children will learn that Jesus is a good and mighty Savior!

Nursery 

Nursery is provided to care for your 0-3 year-olds. We have trained staff who are very experienced in caring for the youngest boys and girls. We eat, draw, play, sing, and change diapers — all to the glory of God!  

We encourage you to check in younger children 5-10 minutes before the service. You are welcome to retrieve them either during the offertory music or at the end of the service.

Safeguarding

At Incarnation, we take child safety very seriously. We follow a detailed and strict policy for the safeguarding of children (and adults), created by our Diocese. Parents can deliver their children to children’s ministry with the confidence that all children’s leaders have been background-checked and trained in child-abuse prevention, and that there will always be two adult leaders in every children’s room.
