Incarnation library

The Incarnation library has been assembled from the generous donations of several bishops, priests, and missionaries. It might not look quite as sumptuous as the banner picture above, but it surely has the next great read for your journey of discipleship, and more than enough Christian literature to keep you fed your whole life long!

BORROWING - The 6-6 Rule

All church members are welcome to borrow books from the Incarnation library and take them home. There are no sign-up sheets or library cards. Just please borrow no more than SIX books at a time, and bring them back to the library within SIX months. Do your best to shelve them in the same place you found them.

Devotionals and Books on Prayer

Prayer is an area where we all want to do better! Why not get a little help?

Our Church Speaks is a new Anglican devotional, published in 2024. It has 52 short chapters, centered around the lives and witness of some of the great heroes of the Christian faith throughout the 2,000-year history of the church. It does a great job selecting saints from across the Christian denominations, both ancient and modern, both men and women, and from every continent. A generous donor purchased 20 copies for members of Incarnation to take home and enjoy. Please bring our copies back once you have finished with them so they are available for other people to use.

Theology

Our faith is very much sustained by the life of the mind: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind” (Romans 12:2). So then, every disciple needs some strong theology to sustain them - not just the nerds! Deeper thinking leads to deeper faith, deeper prayer, and a fuller life in Jesus.

Christian Biographies

If your life has hit a bit of a slump, and you need inspiration, may we suggest a Christian biography? God has worked so many miracles and changed the world in such remarkable ways through his saints - both in the past and still today. Remind yourself why you fell in love with Jesus in the first place, and immerse yourself in the story of how he worked throughout the course of someone’s life. TEENAGERS - we especially recommend biographies to you as you prepare to launch into the world.
